A professional-grade heavy-duty Rescue Figure 8 Descender with "ears," specifically engineered for fire rescue, high-altitude operations, and extreme outdoor expeditions. The main body is precision-forged from 7075 aerospace-grade high-strength aluminum alloy, offering a breaking strength of up to 50kN with a weight of only about 275g, providing an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and reliable load-bearing capacity.
Unlike standard figure 8 descenders, this model features specialized horn-like projections on both sides, significantly enhancing rope control. Operators can flexibly adjust the rope wrapping angle to precisely control descent speed based on load requirements. The horn structure also allows for quick locking of the main rope to achieve a stable mid-air hover, facilitating emergency braking, patient transport, or adjustments to working positions. The large upper ring features a 71mm inner diameter, allowing knots to pass through smoothly; it can also be flexibly paired with short webbing slings or high-temperature-resistant prusik loops as backup brakes, comprehensively enhancing safety in high-altitude rescue operations.
Key Features
-
Dual-Horn Locking for Hovering: A horn structure designed for rescue operations, allowing the rope to be quickly wrapped and locked for stable mid-air hovering, freeing the operator's hands.
-
50kN High Breaking Strength: Manufactured from 7075 aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with an ultimate breaking load of 50kN, meeting the rigorous safety standards for heavy-duty rescue and two-person tandem descent.
-
71mm Large Aperture for Smooth Knot Passage: The large upper ring diameter of 71mm provides ample space for main rope connections or knots to pass through smoothly without obstruction.
-
Precise Friction Speed Control: By adjusting the number of rope wraps around the body and horns, a wide and fine range of friction resistance can be achieved.
-
High System Compatibility: Can be used with short webbing slings or connected to high-temperature-resistant prusik loops to build protective systems, effectively preventing loss of control in case of accidental release.
-
Authoritative Fire Safety Certification: Complies with the XF494-2023 fire equipment standard, ensuring stable and reliable performance.
