Building on the essence of the classic design, the Vertec features a mid-line attachment capability and a captive-pin design, allowing for rapid installation at any point along the rope.

The unit is equipped with a newly upgraded "7-position tool-free adjustable friction system," enabling climbers to adjust the resistance manually based on rope diameter, rope wear, weather conditions, and body weight. It is fully compatible with both Single Rope System (SRS) and Moving Rope System (MRS) climbing modes. The device also integrates an SRS chest harness connection point and supports the Notch Magneato magnetic system, providing smooth, stable ascents and exceptionally precise one-handed descent feedback.

For professional competitors and technical arborists pursuing maximum speed, an optional Notch Aeris Friction Body Kit is available, which replaces the stock lower component with a precision bearing pulley to fully unlock fluid rope advancement.
